Choosing a kindergarten is an important milestone—for both children and parents. At Kita International in Berlin, we strive to make this step clear, supportive, and reassuring from the very beginning.

We welcome applications from both international and local families throughout the year, subject to availability. Our admissions process is thoughtful and transparent, with special care for families who may be new to Berlin or relocating from abroad. We understand that starting in a new country comes with many questions, and we are here to guide you every step of the way.

Our kindergarten is home to families from more than 40 nationalities, with over 35 languages spoken within our community. English is the shared language of communication in our classrooms, while German is naturally integrated into daily routines, songs, and activities. Children grow in a multilingual environment where linguistic diversity is valued as a strength.

We look forward to getting to know each family individually and building a strong partnership from the very beginning—so that every child feels safe, welcomed, and ready to thrive.

To ensure the best possible start for every child at Kita International, the following criteria apply:

• Children must be 3 years old by September 30 of the respective Kita year.
• In accordance with German law, all children must provide proof of full measles vaccination (two doses) prior to enrollment.
• Applications are not processed on a first come, first served basis.
• Children may be admitted throughout the year, depending on availability.

Our goal is to create balanced groups in which children can thrive socially and emotionally. We aim for a thoughtful representation of genders, languages, and cultural backgrounds within each class, reflecting the diversity of our international community.
