Educational Program at Kita International
Where languages unite
At Kita International, children experience a carefully balanced day that offers security through routine and freedom through exploration. Our program is designed to support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in a joyful, age-appropriate way.
We follow the Berlin Educational Programme for Daycare Centres and children’s Daycare [Berliner Bildungsprogramm (BBP)], the official early childhood education framework of the state of Berlin. It guides us in creating a play-based, inclusive, and child-centered environment where every child’s individuality, language, and cultural background are valued. Through everyday experiences, children develop confidence, curiosity, and the skills they need for school and life.
Bilingual Education
English and German in Everyday Life
English is the main language of communication at Kita International, used both in our daily work with children and in our communication with families.
In our diverse, multicultural community, a shared language helps create an inclusive environment, and our experienced educators support children who are learning English as an Additional Language (EAL) within the group setting.
As the host country language, German also plays an important role: every child is supported in developing German through age-appropriate, play-based experiences, ensuring that both languages are nurtured with care, expertise, and sensitivity to each child’s individual needs.
Groups
Group Structures
Children are placed in age-homogeneous groups to support developmentally appropriate learning and strong peer relationships. Each group is supported by dedicated educators who build strong relationships with the children and their families.
We have 11 age-homogeneous groups, each with up to 17 children:
- K1 – 3 Groups (ages 3–4)
- K2 – 4 Groups (ages 4–5)
- K3 – 4 Groups (ages 5–6)
